Effective date: August 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PDF Go Android application (the "App"), provided by Skylark Studio ("PDF Go," "we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
If you are a minor under applicable law, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use of the App and accept these Terms on your behalf.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use the App for personal or internal business purposes on Android devices that you own or control.
The App is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all rights in the App except for the limited license expressly granted here.
PDF Go provides local PDF reading, annotation, editing, form, signing, scanning, OCR, redaction, organization, protection, conversion, comparison, attachment, printing, and sharing tools. Features may vary by Android version, device capability, document structure, encryption settings, available storage, and App version.
The current version does not require a PDF Go account or publisher-operated cloud service. Your files normally remain on your device or in a storage destination you select.
You retain any rights you have in documents and other content that you process with the App. PDF Go does not acquire ownership of your content merely because you use the App.
You are solely responsible for:
You may not use the App to:
OCR may omit, alter, or misread text, numbers, dates, handwriting, tables, or layout. Searchable-PDF output may not preserve the exact structure of the source. You must verify recognized content before relying on it.
Manual and automatic redaction tools may miss sensitive content or identify the wrong content. Visual appearance alone does not prove that underlying data has been removed. You must inspect the exported copy independently before publishing, disclosing, or disposing of the original.
PDF Go can create and verify certain PDF cryptographic signatures, but it does not provide legal, compliance, identity, trust, or certification advice. A cryptographically valid signature may still be legally ineffective, untrusted, expired, revoked, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular purpose or jurisdiction. You are responsible for certificate custody and for determining whether a signature satisfies your requirements.
Editing, flattening, organizing, encrypting, or converting a PDF may alter or remove links, forms, annotations, accessibility information, metadata, signatures, layers, scripts, or other document features. Existing digital signatures may become invalid after modification.
DOCX and XLSX exports prioritize editable text and tables and may not reproduce the original layout. PPTX export may represent each PDF page as an image rather than editable slide objects. PDF/A output is a flattened archive-oriented copy and may remove interactive content. You are responsible for validating any archival, regulatory, or interoperability requirement.
PDF Go cannot recover a forgotten document password, certificate password, or deleted private key. Password protection and encryption do not eliminate every security risk.
PDF Go may create temporary files, app-private imported copies, caches, or recovery snapshots to complete an operation. Android, storage providers, other apps, device failure, insufficient storage, process termination, or user action may cause data loss or incomplete output.
Do not treat PDF Go as your only archive or backup. Keep an unmodified copy of every important source document and verify each exported file before deleting an original.
When you choose to share, print, store, or open a link, Android may transfer information to another app or service that you select. We do not control that destination and are not responsible for its availability, security, content, terms, or privacy practices.
PDFs may contain links, attachments, scripts, forms, or other third-party content. The App may leave unsupported or executable actions inactive for safety and compatibility. You are responsible for deciding whether to open or distribute third-party content.
The App includes open-source software governed by its own license terms. Applicable notices are available in the App or in the accompanying open-source notices. If an open-source license conflicts with these Terms for a specific component, the open-source license controls for that component.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove App features, compatibility, or support. We may release updates to fix defects, improve security, or comply with law. Some updates may be required for continued use.
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, compatible with every document or device, or supported for any particular period.
PDF Go is a document utility. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, compliance, records-management, accessibility, cybersecurity, or other professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional when a document or workflow has legal or regulatory consequences.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and freedom from defects or harmful components.
We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, preserve every PDF feature, detect every error or sensitive item, produce legally valid signatures, or operate without interruption or data loss.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skylark Studio and its affiliates, licensors, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of documents, data, profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from or related to the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from or related to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to us for the App during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) USD 25.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Skylark Studio, its affiliates, licensors, and contributors from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your documents, your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may terminate them by uninstalling the App and ceasing use.
We may terminate or restrict the license granted by these Terms if you materially violate them. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute provisions, will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, the courts located in the United States will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the App.
If applicable law gives you mandatory rights or permits you to bring a claim in another forum, this section does not override those rights.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, law, or our business. We will update the effective date and provide any additional notice required by law. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the App.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and applicable open-source licenses, form the entire agreement regarding your use of the App.
