PDF Go is provided by Skylark Studio ("PDF Go," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the PDF Go Android application handles information.

PDF Go is a local-first PDF reader and editor. The current version:
Documents leave PDF Go only when you direct an action such as sharing, printing, saving to a provider, or opening an external link. The destination then handles that information under its own privacy policy.
PDF Go may locally process the following information when you use a related feature:
PDF Go uses Google ML Kit for on-device OCR and translation. The app requests only the OCR language selected by you and only the selected source/target translation language pair. Google Play services or ML Kit may download the corresponding model files before first use. PDF Go performs recognition and translation on the device and does not upload PDF files, page images, extracted text, recognized text, or translated text to Skylark Studio or a publisher-operated server.
This document information is processed to provide the feature you request. PDF Go does not intentionally include document names, file URIs, document contents, OCR or translation text, annotations, passwords, certificates, signatures, or form values in analytics, advertising, Remote Config, or FCM event data.
When online services are enabled or used, PDF Go and its Google service providers may automatically process:
PDF Go does not request precise GPS location, contacts, microphone recordings, account passwords, or payment-card information. Google advertising and analytics services may process identifiers and approximate location as described in their documentation and privacy policy.
Information is used to:
PDF Go uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display App Open ads during the cold-launch flow and interstitial ads at configured feature-action intervals. The SDK may process IP address, device and advertising identifiers, app interactions, ad interactions, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention information.
Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google's policies, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Non-personalized ads may still use contextual information and identifiers for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, and measurement.
PDF Go uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent and provide privacy options when required. Where available, you can revisit advertising choices from PDF Go's settings. You can also manage advertising controls through Android and Google's advertising settings.
For more information, review the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information for advertising.
PDF Go uses the following Firebase services:
pdf_go_users topic. Removing notification access causes the app to request topic unsubscription the next time notification state is synchronized.Firebase data is processed by Google under its applicable terms and privacy documentation. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
Camera access is optional and requested only when you use the in-app scanning workflow. PDF Go displays a live preview and analyzes sampled frames locally to provide document-edge guidance. Preview frames are not sent to us. Captured pages are stored temporarily on the device while you review and edit the scan.
You may deny or revoke camera permission in Android settings. You can still import existing images without granting camera permission.
PDF Go uses Android's system document and image pickers. These pickers give the app access only to items you select. PDF Go does not request broad access to all files on your device.
When you open a PDF through the document picker, Android may grant PDF Go persistent read access to that specific file. When another app shares a PDF into PDF Go, PDF Go creates an app-private copy because temporary sharing permissions may expire.
On supported Android versions, PDF Go requests notification permission. If granted, the app may:
Notification choices are stored on the device. You can disable the quick-access notification or reminders in PDF Go settings, revoke notification permission, or change individual notification-channel settings in Android. WorkManager scheduling and the foreground service do not upload document content.
Internet and network-state access support advertising, analytics, consent, Remote Config, FCM, and optional Google ML Kit OCR or translation model downloads. Model downloads contain language resources, not your document content. Vibration may be used for notification alerts. Advertising and Ad Services identifier permissions may be included by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and are subject to Android availability and user settings.
PDF Go sends a document outside the app only when you choose an action such as Share or Print and then select a destination. If you open an external link contained in a PDF, Android may open another app or website. Those destinations may receive the selected data, link, IP address, and related connection information under their own policies.
PDF Go may store recent-document metadata, preferences, notification settings, templates, trusted certificates, imported shared documents, and recovery information in app-controlled storage.
Removing a document from PDF Go's file list removes its local record. If it was imported as an app-private shared copy, removal also deletes that private copy. Clearing app data or uninstalling normally removes app-private data, but it does not delete original or exported files stored elsewhere.
Online-service data is retained by Google according to the applicable service settings and policies. We may retain aggregated or de-identified reports for business, security, and legal purposes.
We disclose online-service data to Google for advertising, consent management, analytics, configuration, and messaging as described above. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the app business.
We do not sell your documents or their contents, and we do not operate a data-broker business. Some privacy laws may define personalized advertising or advertising measurement as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising." Where required, PDF Go and Google provide consent or privacy controls for these activities.
PDF Go uses Android app-private storage, scoped file access, temporary-file cleanup, encrypted-PDF support, encrypted network transport provided by integrated services, and Android KeyStore for locally generated signing keys. However, no device, transmission, or software can be guaranteed completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting your device, document passwords, certificate files, private-key passwords, exported documents, and backups. We cannot recover a lost PDF password or signing credential.
You can:
Because much of the data is stored under pseudonymous app or advertising identifiers rather than an account, we may need information from you to locate a record and may not be able to associate all third-party data with your identity. Google also provides separate privacy controls for data it processes.
PDF Go is a general-purpose productivity application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. Advertising, analytics, and messaging services may process the technical information described in this policy. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with PDF Go, contact us so we can review the request.
Google and other destinations you choose may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Applicable providers use their own legal mechanisms for international transfers.
PDF document content is not transferred internationally by PDF Go unless you choose an external sharing, printing, storage, or link destination that performs such a transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy when PDF Go's features, dependencies, permissions, data practices, or legal obligations change. We will update the effective date above and provide any additional notice required by law.
